Angel By MySide is an up and coming 501c3 Chicago non-profit organization committed to helping displaced children by providing ongoing support to kinship caregivers that have embraced the overwhelming responsibility of providing care as the result of a tragedy or special circumstance when a parent can no longer can.
"Angel By MySide aims to create a lasting change in the lives of children in kinship care families from youth to adulthood helping them reach their optimal level in achieving their dreams".
Children in kinship care families are faced with many challenges including behavioral problems, grief, and confusion. Many are displaced as the result of the death of a parent, parental drug abuse, incarceration of parents, abandonment, child abuse and neglect as well as many other special circumstances.
